Yesterday I finished my Easter screen and well... funny how some things look ok until you photograph them and then you see something quite different before your eyes, I'm calling this my 'busy' piece. I mean how much stuff did I think I could stick on it??
The side pieces are using some new wrapping paper that has the most divine set of colours going through itI found some old daisy lace and a paper flower, both of which I stamped with antique ink.
The local supermarket has some great Easter ribbons and I also found a very smooth neutral linen tape just perfect for stamping.
This morning the sun shone, it rained, then snowed and now it's cloudy and brightening, what on earth is going on??

Great work, Margaret! As usual! Have a wonderful weekend! :o)
I don't know what's going on here either, as we are having a beautiful spring like spell....blue skies and sunshine, most odd ;-) I'm sure Spring is on it's way to you too. And your Easter piece makes this time of year even more lovely!
This is really sweet! I really should try a sort of Fiorello too. And try as I might, I love the page you did even if it is rather busy - imagine how busy this little bunny is to get all eggs delivered in time (and painted, too)!
Good we can't influence the weather - this would just be another cause for war on this world. So we just have to stick with it and hope for spring yet to come. (The situation you described was one my husband and me had on our holiday - and this was May 2nd!)
Don't know what's going on with your weather, but oh Lady, your screen is fantastic. I just adore every detail.....certainly giving us all a wonderful dose of Spring!!! It looks perfect to me...
I think its beautiful Margaret, very 'springy' colors and lots of lovelies to look at jenxo
mmmm, I have a sudden urge to make a nest..... xP
Would it be wrong for me to just copy your little triptych screen?
I personally do not see what all the fuss is about your screen being too busy. I LIKE IT! Just as it is. Anything you don't like (this screen included), just box it up ad send it to me. Maybe I need to send you a box with return postage paid. I would hate for you to throw something out in a fit of frustration. heehee
Sign me,
"your biggest fan"
Spring is a fickle woman who doesn't know what to wear.
(I just made that up, I think.)
I LOVE your screen. No way is there too much on it! I love your beautiful photographs as well - I spent a few days in Switzerland about 20 years ago and still remember it as breath-taking.
Weather here too is awful. Last week we had summer (19 degrees) today and the rest of this week we have winter again (6 degrees and a cold wind)!
Thank you for your comments about my scrabble tiles. No, I dont have an Etsy shop! I wouldn't want the commitment of having to stock it. I like to work as and when I feel like it!
beautiful work!:-)
I love this piece and as far as I am concerned, the more stuff on it the better...It gives me so much to look at, besides, I love all the textures!
These are BEAUTIFUL!! I don't think there is too much. It looks just right.
Robin
OK, just my humble opinion, but I really do like this one best....shhh :)
