Dress Up - February

And then there were two... Welcome to 'Dress Up' in February!

I used a rather nice piece of Cavallini wrapping paper as a background, I painted, sanded and painted some more using a combination of acrylics and inks.

It's all gone a bit green! (didn't I post about using angels and hearts??) but Spring is in the air here in Switzerland, so I'm in good time. I added a piece of tea dyed muslin and tinted the ribbon rose with brown Stazon.

I painted a wire heart and cut some tags from an old letter dated 1925, I know I shouldn't have used the original but it was the paper, really it was, I just couldn't resist!

I've added the Linky below for another round of your truly beautiful creations! On a technical note can I please ask that you add the link to your dress entry and not simply to your Blog. For example, my Blog address is http://aliceandcamilla.blogspot.com/ but the dress entry for January is http://aliceandcamilla.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html This means readers will always be taken directly to your dress post. To do this, open your 'Dress Up' post, copy and paste the link that appears in the browser. The Linky for each month stays open and you can add to it at any time. The 'Dress Up' post will move down my Blog as I continue to add new posts during the month but it can always be found in Blog Archives under the appropriate month. As I said in my earlier post I will open 'Dress Up' on the first of each month, starting with March 1st. Once again thank you all for playing along, I am in awe of the talent out there in Blogland, it's official, we're awesome! Posted by Picasa

I was expecting to see Valentines and roses, then this beauty popped up. I so love it. It looks so layered and drapes so well. I'm going to have to learn how to drape like you did. You make it look so layered and easy.

Thanks again for putting this project together. I love, love, love it.
