I did a couple more pages in my colour journal yesterday, as my post title reads, the theme should've been sunset, but it's not! I seem to have ended up with...
a rather depressed looking sun, poor fellow, perhaps it's the thought of leaving! and then of course...
two pyramids and a king, I mean really, how did this happen??
my next page resulted in much of the same non-themed work
not a lot of sunset going on here either, although I do have stars, at least it's a step in the right direction!

That's the beauty of a color themed book. Color IS the theme. And since these colors are what I consider sunset, they work nicely in your journal. Besides, color is how you interpret it. The pages are lovely, even though they may not be your original intention.
I LOVE how your arty muse has led you away from the initial colour theme...
Stunning and unique sunset pages Margaret!!

I like the colors.....that's all that matters... it's a story yet to be told (two pyramids and a king)
That's really nice. I have something to complete along this line and everything is by me ready to go. It would not be so bad but it is for an international swap and I am supposed to publish it when I make it....and I have never done anything like this before. I think your product looks quite lovely and I better get at it ;-)
Fondly,
Suz
Theme shmeme. I LIKE your pages! The day was overcast when the sun set on your pyramids and king.
"One misty musty evening,
when cloudy was the weather,
I chanced to see an old king among the pyramids and heather.
He began to contemplate so I begand to say, "how do you do, how do you do, how do you do again."
I just love your journal Margaret! so rich and beautiful.
wishing you a wonderful day, xo nat
These pages are really rich and full of texture, love this! xox Corrine
I don't know... I think you've got the colors down right. At least those are the colors of our sunsets here in north Texas.
I am enjoying your journal pages VERY much M!
I think it's great to not think too much...just keep playing!

Believe it or not, our sunset here in WNY looked something along these color lines! We had a sunny day until about 4:00, then a severe thunder/lightning storm crossed over, under a treacherous big black cloud, the power went out, and then, when it was all over us, the sun came back out! (No rainbow). Our sunset was muted colors and moisture and your lovely page reminds me of it! So, I hope you won't be hard on yourself! It's great! ~kathy
Your comments made me giggle! These are, of course, great colour pages, I love them both.

I can't comment on what it should have been but I love what it ended up as!! The pages have a lovely ethereal feel about them.
Very creative and meaningful.keep it up!!
The sun does look a bit down in the dumps but your page is lovely.
Just seen the rag bracelet you made ...so pretty.
Thanks for popping by. I'm not making much at the mo, infact the postcard swap is the only thing I'm doing. Plenty of salad leaves growing though !
