Postcard from Switzerland

Grüsse aus der Schweiz!
(Click and play while you read!)

Sitting as I do in the heart of Switzy, this visit was always going to be one I'd enjoy!
But what to do?  chocolate, cheese, snow or something a little more obscure?
   or perhaps something in between?
Talerschwingen is a fav of mine and is the art of
spinning or rolling a coin in a crockery bowl
to make the sound sound that accompanies the voices in the clip above
The tone can be so pure
it's enough to send shivers down your spine!
But this week Jayne's decided to indulge in the sweeter side of Switzerland, here is her
"eat chocolate till the cows come home"
card to Gloria:

 Gloria
Bought ourselves some Swiss chocolate body paint,
we haven't left the chalet for days!
see attached mini pic of Bagsy, minus the body paint of course!
Jxx

Eww! thinks Gloria,
there's such a thing as too much information!!
 and where's the pic??
it seems to have fallen off in the post
agh! she's still no closer to seeing lovebug Bagsy!

I made my card out of an assortment of chocolate boxes,
the contents of which I ate in the name of art, no, really I did...
I set my scene on a map and added a few cows
meandering their way down through the Valley of the Forbidden Chocolate
 homeward bound.
Head over to Darcy's blog to see more Swiss cards

I did, indeed, enjoy the music and was that really a coiin making that sound? The card is great and what fun to make it! The chocolate a side benefit, of course. Next time if you need help in that dept, I volunteer.

I'm laughing at the postcard, laughing at the great collage you created, laughing at sacrificing your body with chocolate in the name of art, and laughing when the hot guy's photo "fell" off the postcard. This is simply too funny!

Another awesome card. Your story is so fun! Such sacrifices we make for our art....eating chocolates. I used lots of little goodies you sent in my card and page this week. Thank you!!

Hahaha....:D The things we have to do to get our piece just perfect lol. How frustrating to have the pic missing :D XXX

Naughty body paint......!!

Wonderful card Margaret ! But way too much information ( perhaps the hot guy simply disappeared after being coated in chocolate ! )

Beautiful sound. I went to a Sound bath once - Crystal bowls singing !

You should redesign some Swiss chocolate co.'s wrappers (I thought this was from one wrapper!) Totally fab! Now I am craving chocolate thanks to your delicious art! (and I am currently stuck in a grain elevator...)

Ha! I understand. I recently had to eat an entire box of valentine candy because I needed the box. Sometimes an artist just has to sacrifice herself like that.
