I just have to show you what I used for the hidden compartment, Nathalie you were right about using matchboxes, it's just an unusual shape which was fortunate as I had already cut the middle of the book out before I realised there wasn't enough room left to put in a full- sized matchbox!

Oh what a great find, they look perfectly inchie sized designs! Your Scu zi matchbox is fab. I am such a keeper of boxes and such. I have not tried a drawer in an altered book.....yet....you inspire me Margaret :) oxo
It IS a matchbox! I collect "silly" things like that all of the time too, with the hope of someday using them. I could just BUY a bunch of matchboxes, but where is the fun in that? haha
Oh I love these! When ever I find napkins like this I can never use them to wipe my face! Can't wait to see what you do with them.
