10 year old art critic

Me to her: "do you like my bird box?"
"yes, it's lovely, but where's the bird?"
" it's there in the picture"
"no, I mean the one that belongs in the nest"
"well, maybe it's already flown away"
"then why does it say fly?"
"um... (help me help me) because it needed instructions"
"oh"
"and Mummy"
"yes?"
"your l looks like a 1"
honestly, I don't know why I bother, really not...

What a darling post! I love how younger minds think ~ Your assemblage is lovely! I especially love the top portion and the twigs!
Your wonderful package arrived in the mail yesterday. It gave me such JOY! Thank you for all of your beautiful treasures you sent me. My husband was watching as I unwrapped and he asked, "Why did she do all of this for you?" And I told him ~ because that what blog kindred spirits do for one another.
Thank you so much for blessing me from your beautiful heart! Many Blessings! Katie

Your art critique is priceless! Hahahha! This is silly, but my favorite part of your box is the silvery trim on top with the bog furniture tacks. AND Your painted textures are wonderful as always!

Yes, I know the feeling. I have an 11 yr. old critic! But she is actually very stylish and creative, so I often take her advice! This is absolutely wonderful. I am inspired to make something similar to remind me that spring will be here eventually (usually about the end of April here in Montana)... Jamie V in MT

Oh my gosh! I had one of those 10-year old art critics once -- now she's almost 25. I can't wait until she has one of her own! She's a dear daughter and friend, but reading your account with your 10-year old made me laugh and remember many such instances myself. Your art is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. KateAnn
