I've actually done it
prepped my journal
sewn the pages in
roll on December 1st!
I decided on an eyes shut photo of myself and Santa for my first page
I really do have soooo much paper stuff in my house
more than enough bits to use up
I like the idea of giving it all a new life
I actually found the background paper applique quite a challenge
I'm used to painting, sanding and generally making a mess
but I soon found my groove
this was such fun
I managed to make some clear pockets for photos
then of course sewed them in the wrong way up!!
think I'll be stapling the bottom shut
ah, the beauty of this project
anything goes!

Wow, Margaret. This journal is awesome. I love making these types of journals. I don't journal but I love to make them. I am so impressed with yours, though. It is so much nicer than most of the ones I've made. Way to go.

Wonderful Journal!!!!
I took Mary Ann's class and have yet to make a journal but I've used her techniques to do a few pages and post cards. I'm happy you're better and so happy for you that you accomplished this!! December will be a treat for you to fill it out. I realized that once again I don't have an advent calender ready to go. That darn slipping by...

Oh my gosh... I LOVE it! And I really needed this inspiration today. I'm still trying to get my Dec. journal together and just sat and stared at it yesterday for way too long.
